Ali is a Machine Learning Engineer at SunbirdAI. He has previously worked as a resident at the Makerere AI Lab, where he focused on low-resource languages and co-founded an AI-powered medical fraud monitoring startup. Ali is a former member of the Cairo Hackerspace community, where he credits much of his technical learning. His research interests include low-resource domains, evolutionary algorithms, and self-improving AI.
